Someone had to read the fine print.
LazyComparo is a small, independent comparison site built in Singapore. It exists because buying a game or a phone shouldn't cost you an evening of tab-juggling — and because most sites that promise to save you that evening are quietly selling you something.
Who builds this
One person, working evenings and weekends, under the handle Sleepy-YX. There is no team, no investors and no media group behind it. The code is public on GitHub, so any claim on this page about how the ranking works can be checked against the thing that actually runs.
That smallness is the trade-off worth knowing about: the catalogues are hand-curated rather than exhaustive, and they grow when there's time. What's in them is verified against live store data before it is written down — but there are plenty of games and phones we don't cover yet.
How it makes money
It doesn't.
No ads. No affiliate links. No sponsored placement, and no way to pay for a better position. Nothing on this site is ranked, boosted or hidden because of money — the store links are plain links, and nobody pays us when you use one.
Running costs are about S$3 a month (a domain plus free hosting tiers), paid out of pocket. If that ever changes — if there's ever an affiliate link, an ad, or a paid placement anywhere on LazyComparo — it will be disclosed on this page and marked where it appears, before it ships.
What we actually do
- Verdict first, specs second. The comparison tools lead with a recommendation and the concrete numbers behind it, including the case against — the spec where the runner-up genuinely wins gets named, not buried.
- Live prices where prices matter. Game prices and discounts come from official store feeds at request time, in SGD, with all-time-low context. They are not hand-typed and they are not last month's.
- Honest "don't bother" advice. The phone advisor will tell you to wait a generation, and the game pages will tell you a discount is routine. A comparison site that never says "no" isn't comparing anything.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for. Your shortlist and settings live in your own browser — see Privacy.

What we don't do
We don't review products we haven't got data for, we don't publish scores we can't explain, and we don't pad pages with 4,000 words to rank for a search term. Where a number is an editorial estimate rather than a live measurement — hours-to-beat, phone spec scores, pros and cons — it is labelled as one.
Corrections and contact
If a price, spec or verdict looks wrong, it may well be: please say so. The fastest route is to open an issue on GitHub — it's public, it's tracked, and corrections that hold up get applied to the catalogue.
Same channel for privacy requests, takedowns, or anything else that needs a human.
